Disposal fees: Local law requires us to drop certain items off at special locations so that they can be disposed of properly. This costs us time and gas, so we charge $20 per item. These items include printers, fax machines, mattresses, box springs, TVs, monitors, and tires (varied by size.
Appliances: We charge a $40 fee for every appliance that we need to dispose of. This includes microwaves, stoves, dishwashers, dryers and washers.
Freon: Freon is a potentially dangerous substance. We can dispose of it, but to do it safely we need to charge a $50 fee. Freon is commonly in air conditioners.
